Besides caring about your feet, we care about the people who make the things that go on your feet. That’s why we chose our manufacturing partners in crime carefully.
We’re the kinda footwear brand that cares about peeps, plants, and pets. That’s why besides being 100% vegan, we’re also 100% serious about ethical working standards.
Each pair of TWOOBS is made in Dongguan Senfan Shoes Technology Co. Ltd., a small factory with just 20 employees that specialises in TWOOBS footwear production. In addition to factory visits by our co-founder and design team, the factory is audited by a third party on an annual basis to provide visibility over things like insurance, wages, working conditions and employee satisfaction.
We're so proud to say that Our most recent audit (Sept 2024) reflected that factory employees are being paid upwards of 30% above the living wage.
Our extremely talented TWOOBS production team who make every single pair of our shoes.
The team are passionate about our shoes and ethos, and have even put up their own customised TWOOBS posters around the factory (our hearts!). It's such a joy whenever we spend time together.
Our factory Senfan is owned and operated by husband and wife dream team Helen and Martin (that's a cute little pic of them below!).
Helen and Martin go above and beyond for the team to make sure everyone knows that family and general *life* comes before work. This includes paying extra for each staff member to have health insurance.
We’re putting our feet down when it comes to carbon. We’ve had enough, and so has the planet. That’s why we offset 100% of our emissions to make our production process carbon offset.
How? 90% of our suppliers are located within the Dongguan area — which is kinda the same size as Darwin. That means, most of our shoe components are only a 26 minute drive, or three hour and one minute walk, or one hop, skip, and a jump away from our factory. Less travel, less carbon. Simples.
We offset the carbon of every single order with EcoCart, and our contributions help to fund The Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. A revegetation project that links small patches of remnant vegetation and nature reserves. Pretty cool huh?!
