Our kinda footwear is just that — kinder to your feet, to the planet, and to our furry friends. Made from recycled plastics and yarn, our Earth-loving sandals are designed with fit and longevity in mind. So they stay on your feet and out of the landfill.
We don't always have the answers, but we pinky swear to keep on putting our best foot forward with new solutions for old soles. Just like our new Sweet Soles that slurp up carbon faster than a slurped up slurpee (meet you at 7/11).
Read on to learn more about how we make the kinda footwear that kisses the ground you walk on. Mwah.
Our shoes are made from 80% post-consumer materials and 20% conventional polyester, otherwise known as recycled Lycra. Using recycled plastics means not only do we save plastics and yarn from ending up in landfill, we also save face next time we run into Captain Planet. He is our hero, afterall.
We don’t mean to brag but, our shoes look sweet on you. Literally. Our new Sweet Soles are made from 51% sugarcane. Sustainably sourced from Brazil, this plastic alternative actually sucks up carbon. Made using rainwater rather than irrigation, this renewable material puts the sole in our sandals, and fills our soul with happiness.
Plants in our mouths, plants on our feet. Our outsoles are made using 51% natural rubber to put the bounce back in your step. This self-reinforcing, naturally buoyant material forms a comfy cushion each time you step. Mixed with secondary synthetic materials to, in the words of Xtina, make them that much stronger. Guess plants just rub-ber the right way.
But that’s not all, folks. We use organic cotton in our bindings ‘coz it’s kinder to the planet in its production, and more breathable on your feet. Kinda cool, right?
We’ve been satchel-free for a while now. But shoes still have to come in something, right? We felt boxed in (get it) by old school cardboard, so we thought outside the box (ok, we’ll stop).
Our shoe boxes are made with recycled materials that are FSC certified, making it official — we care about the forest. Like, a lot.
