BYRON BAY CAFES
Folk - Nourishing food nestled amongst nature, try grab the daybed spot!
The General Store - A TWOOBS team fave for the juicy smoothies, epic staff and chilled vibes. Must try: The vegan burrito.
Topshop - Your go-to spot for acai bowls and burgers pre- and post- beach dips.
Vagabond - Food that’ll equal parts delight your mouth and your tummy (aka it’s both healthy and yummy).
The Farm - Perfect for groups and families, it hosts our fave bakery, a cafe/restaurant, an ice-creamery, plus cute animals to say harro to.
BYRON BAY RESTAURANTS
No Bones - A vegan’s dream, that is guaranteed to convert the non-vegans among us. Must try: The fried chicken.
The Hut - THE hinterland spot for a long boozy lunch.
Kouzina - Delish Greek food in what feels like your yia-yia’s courtyard, that usually ends in Greek dancing. Yassou!
Bang Bang - A vibey Asian fusion eatery that we love for still retaining a level of that laid back Byron feel.
Smoking Camel - By the same peeps who did Light Years (another asian fusion fave), but this time they’re serving up Middle Eastern deliciousness.
BYRON BAY DESSERT
Frankie’s Gelato - The coolest gelato spot in town with the coolest neighbours (oh hi that’d be us!).
Masa - Croissants by a former Lune chef, the vegan options are limited to sourdough bread for the moment… let’s start a petition?!
BYRON BAY BARS
Rae’s - While lunch & dinner bookings can be hard to come by, you can still stop by Byron’s most Instagrammable spot for a sunset cocktail (and to snap some pics!).
The Balcony Bar - Situated on a literal balcony right in the middle of town, this is the perfect place to start your night with some drinks and yummy bites.
Hotel Marvell Rooftop Bar - The perfect spot to watch the sunset with experimental cocktails and yummy nibbles.Must try: Marvelltini.
Casa Luna - A restaurant that turns into a bar/club as the night goes on. The food is delish or visit later for fun tunes and a great little d-floor if you fancy a boogie.
BYRON BAY SHOPPING
TWOOBS - Forgot your beach sandals? *Not at all* biased when we say this is the best (and prettiest) shoe shop in town. The sunny store design also diverted 891kgs of plastic from landfill.
Zulu and Zephyr - This Byron-based brand has got you covered for beach attire, they even make matching minis in their swimwear.
Rowie - Byron-born Rowie is our go-to for beautiful basics that will last seasons to come.
Markett - Gotta take some gifts home? From incense holders to beautiful jugs, this is your place for pressies (even if they’re just for you).
Byron Bay Candles - Take the smell of Byron Bay home with you with their natural candles and diffusers.
FORRM.store - A multi-brand boutique which promotes “considered consumption” - our kinda place.
For Artists Only - If you’re looking for something super special, FAA hosts a beautiful curation of pieces by local & international designers.
The Book Room - This place is single-handedly showing that book stores have still got it! Their curated picks are spot on every time.
Soul Life - If crystals and oracle cards are your thang, you’re going to want to clear the arvo to hang out here.
BYRON BAY YOGA, PILATES & MEDITATION
Creature Yoga -The spot for yoga die-hards. If you’re a yogi in training then consider this your happy place. Must try: A class with co-owner Tahl.
Peaches - If you enjoy working out to blaring Beyoncé, then you’re gonna a-peach-iate this place as much as we do. You might even catch Stef running a meditation class!
Bende - We love Bende for its gorg space and wide offering; if you grab a holiday pack you can sample a little of everything, from yoga to reformer classes to dancing.
Bamboo Yoga School - Nestled amongst the trees in a clear bamboo marquee, this place is the definition of peaceful, offering yoga and lots of fun workshops. Must try: Breathwork with Sara & Dan from Yes&.
BYRON BAY ACCOMMODATION
The Sunseeker - A converted ‘80s style motel that is right out of a design magazine, this is definitely where the cool people hang out.
Hotel Marvel - This hotel is right in the middle of town, although between the rooftop pool and bar, and a restaurant that’s serving up delish breaky, lunch and dinner, you might never leave.
The Swell - Sip cocktails by the pool at this vintage glam hotel, walkable to the beach, shopping, and all things Byron.
The Brunswick - If you want to stay a little out of town, this refurbed motel in Brunswick Heads is simple and beautiful, walkable to all the best spots in Bruns, and a 20 minute drive from Byron.
SunRanch - Set on acreage in the lush hinterland, this art deco ranch complete with horses, a pool club, and healing circle is the place to stay if you’re looking for a splurge.
BYRON BAY BEACHES
Whites Beach - If you’re looking for jaw to the floor beauty, then Whites is your Insta haven. Well worth the 10 minute trek down from the car.
Wategos - This is one of the most gorg beaches we’ve ever been to and it’s right near town. It’s west-facing meaning it’s the only beach in the area you’ll be able to see the sunset.
Belongil - Our favourite doggo beach. Perfect for a walk with your pupper, or an ideal spot to hang all day.
Broken Head - A breathtakingly beautiful beach, and also where the Hemsworths are known to surf. Grab a spot by the rocks on a windy day and you’ll be sheltered.
Brunswick Heads River - The cool kids’ alternative to the beach. Relax in the tranquil water, or take a SUP out for a spin.
BYRON BAY SPAS & PAMPER
The Banya - This bathhouse is one of the prettiest places we’ve ever been to. Soak in your 1.5 hour sesh in the sauna, steam room and spas, splurge on a massage, and make time for dumplings and chop chop salad in the cafe.
Little Company - The most heavenly spot for a facial, that’ll leave your face glowing and your entire body feeling relaxed.
Nimbus - Book in your own private infrared sauna and ice bath for the full Byron Bay experience.
Comma - If you’re after an arvo massage in a serene space, then comma on over (see what we did there?).
BYRON BAY WALKS
Killen Falls - If you like the idea of a hike but you’re really just in it for the beautiful waterfall at the end, this is a pretty chilled 15 minute walk to one of the most epic waterfalls. The effort:reward ratio almost feels like cheating.
Lighthouse Walk - Did you even go to Byron if you didn’t do the Lighty? A famous walk that doesn’t disappoint (and neither will all the beautiful peeps you pass on your way).
Minyon Falls - If you like to work for your view, head to Minyon Falls which is about a 2 hour walk each way, but so so worth it.
BYRON BAY ADVENTURES
Lilium - A cafe set in the forest run by witches and known for their mushroom elixirs, it’s so worth the drive on a cloudy Byron day.
Byron Beachside Market - Taking place once a month, this makes for the perfect Sunday morning browsing gifts and goodies before you head to the beach.
Byron Farmers Market - Every Thursday morning. Come for the local produce and delish food stalls, stay for the music and vibes.
Brunswick Heads - Our favourite seaside town in the Shire, stop in for the best burger at Old Maids, followed by a dip in the river, and finish with pizzas at St Marie’s.
Bangalow - There’s something about a rainy day in Bangalow. Start with brunch at the boho chic Woods, spend the day shopping at local boutiques, and end with an Italian feast at the vibiest Ciao Mate.
Mullumbimby - Known as the hippy hub of Byron, nom on a nourish bowl from the cute Paseyo, cruise for crystals at Mullum Mandala, pop in for pastries at Baker’s Daughter, and end your evening with a sabich malawach from Yaman.
Crystal Castle - If (like us) you take your love of crystals very seriously, you’re gonna wanna spend an arvo here, walking the reflexology path and meditating inside the world’s largest amethyst geode. Must try: Sound healing held twice daily in the yoga dome.
