We've partnered with contemporary Indigenous Artist collective Cungelella Art to create a limited edition 3-piece collection of TWOOBS. Made from vegan and recycled materials, the curated collection features three bright and poppy designs of Indigenous art across two classic TWOOBS styles. Inspired by the stories and surroundings of her homelands, the prints featured have been designed by Glenda McCulloch, a proud descendant of the Kalkadoon Tribe of the Mount Isa region and the founder of Cungelella Art.
Glenda founded Cungelella Art in 2019 as a vehicle for sharing her culture through modern Aboriginal art. It soon expanded as a collective to include her sisters Jaunita Doyle, Dale Bruce and Cheryl Perez. Living on Kalkatungu Country, together they've continued to communicate the story of their homelands through painting.
"We are always inspired by our surroundings, the red dirt and the harsh spinifex growing wild, and of course the soft pink sunsets."
Glenda McCulloch
With every pair sold, TWOOBS will donate $5 to Injilinji Preschool and Kindergarten in Mount Isa, a local kindergarten selected by Glenda. It is a nonprofit Aboriginal organisation that was opened in the 1970s by 3 local Aboriginal women, and is the only Aboriginal kindergarten in the town still running today. Each purchase will also be made carbon neutral, in line with our commitment to practice environmental sustainability.
